Facility Associates (Openers & Closers)

📍 Boyle Heights / Arts District – Los Angeles

Pickle Alley, LA’s new indoor/outdoor pickleball club, is looking for energetic and reliable Associates to join our opening team.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a community-focused, fun, and active environment.

What You’ll Do:

Opener: Arrive early, turn on lights, and ensure everything is ready before opening.

Closer: Make sure the space is tidy, all members have left, and the facility is locked and secured.

General responsibilities:

  • Welcome and check in members & guests
  • Answer customer questions and provide excellent service
  • Oversee court usage and maintain an orderly environment
  • Support retail sales (gear, drinks, snacks, apparel)
  • Keep the space clean and organized, including gym equipment and common areas
  • Monitor and restock retail and refreshment supplies

What We’re Looking For:

Previous retail, coffee shop, or gym/club experience is a plus

Strong customer service skills and a team-player attitude

Interest in pickleball or racquet sports (required)

Reliable, responsible, and able to work opening or closing shifts

Head Pickleball Coach & Facility Manager

Pickle Alley, LA’s new indoor/outdoor pickleball club, is seeking an experienced Head Coach/Manager to lead our coaching program, oversee daily court operations, and help build a thriving pickleball community. This is a leadership role that blends coaching, program development, and facility management.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead, organize, and coach clinics, lessons, and group programs for players of all levels
  • Provide private and group instruction, from beginner to advanced
  • Develop player pathways, leagues, tournaments, and special events
  • Oversee daily court operations and ensure a smooth, positive member experience
  • Manage and mentor additional coaches and staff
  • Monitor court reservations, rules, and play flow to maximize member engagement
  • Support retail, member check-in, and community activities as needed
  • Collaborate with ownership to grow programming and membership

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven pickleball coaching experience (PPR or IPTPA certification preferred)
  • Strong playing background and deep understanding of pickleball strategy and technique
  • Prior management or supervisory experience in a club, gym, or sports facility
  • Ability to create and lead dynamic group sessions and events
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Enthusiastic, welcoming personality with a passion for community-building
  • Business-minded and organized, able to balance coaching with operational duties
